In my opinion, this section is one of the most fun parts of any character project. My character is now in Zbrush for the final touches!
After getting as much done in 3Ds Max as I could, I moved the character over to Zbrush to add details such as hair, jacket folds and lines in the mechanics of her armour.
As I've marked out in red on my final concept render, these lines on her legs and arms are what I'll be adding in Zbrush and emphasizing when I get to texturing. I'll also be adding the fur on her jacket collar and the creases in her hair, jacket and any other details I've missed.
This is what my character looked like when I first imported her to Zbrush:
This part is always fascinating to me because parts of the model that I thought were quite high poly when in 3Ds like the face and arms look faceted and low poly in the lense of Zbrush.
So starting from this model, I'm going to go in on each of the different sub-objects and smooth them all out, adding details like the lines on her legs and creases where needed.
