I learned today that references need to not only be used as a guidline for how your model should look, but also the strategies and tricks you can use for your own model to make things easier.
Bonus blog post to talk about something I learned today. When sculpting the hair, I was taking reference from both Mercy and Widowmaker's hair as stated in my earlier post, but today I realised that something I haven't taken advantage of before is modelling long pieces of clothing or hair out behind the model to help with sculpting and texturing the back of the character later in the process.
Its shown here with Widowmaker's long ponytail:
And after realising this I decided to use this for my character's long plaits and have them out behind her, to rig them later in the project.
