FMP - Week 8 - Part 2

High poly model sculpting - how much detail is too much detail?


I'm not sure what it is about this sculpt but I'm not feeling as confident about it as I did with my Overwatch character. It makes sense, I know Overwatch like the back of my hand and making a character to belong there felt like home, but I do feel a little out of my depth making this creature. 

Moreover, I'm concerned that I'm adding too many little details but then that feeling just reminds me that you can polish dirt as much as you want but its still dirt. I'll be getting feedback at the end of this week so I'll ask about it then! 

In the meantime, here is my progress: 






I do really love the little boats on the back of his armour piece, and I like all of the lumps and bumps on his skin and the texture of the leather on his back. I feel like overall I'm getting better and making things look textured in zbrush.
